At the Belgian Championships (25-26 July) Norwegian hurdler Isabelle Pedersen showed to be in rising form when recording a personal best twice in the 100m hurdles.

On Saturday, the 23-year-old won her heat with a 13.02 (-0,7) clocking – 2/100 faster than her previous personal best – and proved her readiness for next month’s IAAF World Championships in Beijing by going sub 13 seconds for the first time ever in the final on Sunday.

Despite the terrible weather conditions, Isabelle finished 2nd behind local favorite Anne Zagré (12.87) in a new personal best time of 12.92 (-0,4) and booked her spot on the Norwegian team for August’s IAAF World Championships and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
